Once upon a time there was a King. He was ruler of all his race, the Saiyans. The stress of being king must have been too much, and though he was married, the King had a mistress. The two would meet in secret, and for years, th affair stayed a secret.
However, after a while, the mistress got pregnant. The King wanted nothing to do with this bastard child. It would ruin his whole life. Handing the women some money, he kicked her to the curb. And she lived on.
The child was born. It was a happy, boy. A perfect cross between his mother and father. But without a father, how would young Yakon be raised to be a mighty Saiyan?
As fate would have it, the boy's mother fell in love with a Saiyan guard. This man brought Yakon into the castle, not knowing of his true bloodline. And there he trained him. Though the training was brutal, the boy excelled, much as would be expected by the Saiyan Prince he truly was.
As the boy aged, his step-father began to see more and more of the king in him. And soon, he put two and two together. On the boy's fifth birthday, he was introduced to the king's son. A boy only a year younger than him.
After a display of his skill in schooling, Yakon's step-father was chosen to train the King's son. Keeping his love secret was no easy task, but as the boy's trained together, the past was kept in the past.
Years pasted, and as Yakon reached his tenth birthday, a tragedy struck. The pressure of keeping such a secret finally got the most Yakon's step-father. As the guard stood before the King, he did not plead for his life. He knew what keeping such a secret meant.
Turning to Yakon, he told him that he too was a Saiyan Prince. Yakon was the older brother of the King's son, and rightful heir to the Saiyan throne. He called the King a coward for not raising his own child, and exploded as he was grabbed by two other guards.
Yakon was forced to watch the King end his step father's life. As a blast ripped though him, his eye fell to Yakon, and with his final breath, he told him, "You're the true Saiyan Prince."
Yakon was thrusted out of the Kingdom, and forced to watch his half-brother grow. The words of his step-father only fueled his need to train.
As more time passed, and the King finally stepped down, he appointed his son as the new King. Yakon was fueled with hatred. These years of training and resentment had turned him into a bitter, cold, calculating man. He had proven to be better in his youth than the new King. He was blood, and the rightful heir to the Saiyan throne.
Though only through mumbles and whispers, a rumor began to spread through the planet of Vegeta. There was an uprising beginning. The King's reign with an iron fist would be coming to an end. And the Rebellion army would be the one ending it.
